4th ANNUAL QUAD-COUNTY BUSINESS SUMMIT WILL FEATURE FIRST EVER PITCH COMPETITION -THE QUAD TANK
Orange County, VA – Orange County Economic Development in collaboration with the Orange Chamber of
Commerce, Central Virginia Small Business Development Center and peer organizations in Fluvanna
County, Greene County, and Louisa County has just announced the inclusion of a pitch competition
titled, The Quad Tank, to be held at this year’s Summit. The Quad Tank will offer entrepreneurs
from the four localities a funding opportunity to take their business ideas to the next level.
“The idea of adding The Quad Tank to this year’s Summit was important to the planning committee
because of the many benefits all participating entrepreneurs would receive in going through the
business planning process. Aside from the cash prize to be awarded to the winner, the additional
exposure, attention to pitch practice and public speaking, and mentoring; just to name a few, are
all extremely important things we wanted to bring to the Summit in order to bolster the
entrepreneurial ecosystem in our respective communities, noted Rose Deal, Orange County Economic
Development Project Manager.”
Participating individuals or teams must have a business idea or an existing business located in, or
be residents of, Greene, Orange, Louisa, or Fluvanna counties. Participants will be allotted a
maximum of five (5) minutes to pitch their idea or concept and five (5) minutes for Q&A with the
judges. The winning individual or team will be awarded a cash prize to be used to implement their
business plans. A full packet of information, including the rules and regulations, can be found on
the Quad County Business Summit website at https://bit.ly/2XHvXAg.
Sponsorship opportunities are now available and are listed in the Summit website. Please save the
