Greene, Charlottesville Chambers Join Forces in Stanardsville

STANARDSVILLE (February 2006) - The Greene County Chamber of Commerce joined the Greater Charlottesville Chamber on Thursday, Feb. 16, to host a "Chamber Social" at the Virginia Company, located on Spotswood Trail in Stanardsville.

The Virginia Company, which hosted the gathering of approximately 100, specializes in gourmet Virginia foods and gifts, while the local Chambers specialize in providing opportunities for business discovery and networking.

The next event scheduled by the local Chamber will be March 1, from 7-8 a.m., when the Greene County Chamber will host its first networking breakfast at the Blue Ridge Café on U.S. 29 in Ruckersville.  Chamber officials plan to make the networking breakfasts a monthly event, which will alternate between the Blue Ridge Café and the Lafayette, located on Main Street in Stanardsville.

These events will be open to Chamber members only.  Members, who should be prepared with a fistful of business cards and a short presentation about their company, will be seated randomly at tables, where each will be given time to give their presentation and make contacts.  Throughout the breakfasts, members will network around all of the tables, providing opportunities for approximately 25 business connections.
