Business Summary:

The Greene County EDA was formed as a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, August 1976. Its mandate was to initiate, develop and coordinate economic development efforts in order to achieve and sustain the optimum quality of life for Greene County citizens. The Economic Development Authority (EDA) is made up of an all-volunteer board of directors and staff whose job is to help attract new business to Greene County, grow existing businesses and direct the County's investment in commercial enterprise. The Economic Development Authority (EDA) promotes Greene as a rich center for business development and expansion. Through the EDA and staff, the Tourism Council supports Greene County's tourism industry. It also advises and supports annual events and festivals in the County.
